甘肃省歌舞团集体创作的六幕大型舞剧。该剧以唐代丝绸之路为历史背景，以敦煌为中心进行艺术构思，运用浪漫抒情手法，创造了新颖的民族风格之舞蹈，艺术地再现了敦煌壁画中的许多舞姿造型：如集市的百戏杂耍、琵琶舞、伎乐天舞、凭栏仙女舞、莲花童子舞、盘上舞、霓裳羽衣舞等。

A six-act dance drama created by the Gansu Song and Dance Troupe. Against the background of the Silk Road in the Tang Dynasty, the drama focuses on Dunhuang and its artistic setting and creates modern folk dances in romantic and poetic approaches. It reproduces many dance postures found in the Dunhuang murals, such as: market shows and acrobatics, the “pipa” dance, the “flying deva” (a type of Buddhist figure) dance, the “dance of fairies”, the “lotus children” dance, the “plate” dance, and the “rainbow and feather dress” dance.
