Symmetry Composition

构图的一种形式，此种形式最早见于盛唐观无量寿经变中。一般是一大二小并列、对称均衡、主次分明的经变结构，称为三联式。

This is a composition used in mural paintings in which two symmetrical pieces are arranged on either side of a more prominent one. The earliest employment of this type of composition can be seen in the illustrations of the "Amitayurdhyana Sutra", drawn during the High Tang period. This structural arrangement features one major figure in the middle and two symmetrical secondary parts on either side. This is usually referred to as a "Symmetry Composition".
