Seven Treasures

七宝,指七种珍宝,又称七珍。汉代版本的七宝为金、银、琉璃、水晶、砗磲、珊瑚、琥珀;曹魏时期版本所载七宝为紫金、白银、琉璃、水晶、砗磲、珊瑚、琥珀;唐代版本的七宝为黄金、白银、琉璃、颇梨、美玉、赤珠、琥珀;宋代版本的七宝为黄金、白银、璃、颇梨、砗磲、珍珠、琥珀。
The term refers to seven precious gems, also known as the Seven Gems. During the Han Dynasty, the Seven Treasures were recorded as gold, silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, tridacna, coral, and amber; in the Cao-Wei Period, they were recorded as violet gold, silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, tridacna shell, coral, and amber; in the Tang Dynasty, they are recorded as gold, silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, jade, red pearls, and amber; and in the Song Dynasty, they were recorded as gold, white silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, tridacna, pearls, and amber.
